Ričardas Šlepavičius, non-resident ambassador-designate of the Republic of Lithuania to the Philippines, paid a courtesy call to UP Diliman (UPD) Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II on June 27 at the Թ̳Office of the Chancellor.
During the meeting, Šlepavičius and Vistan discussed the possibility of an academic partnership between Թ̳and Vilnius University.
Incidentally, two Թ̳academic units are in the process of drafting a memoranda of understanding for academic cooperation with Lithuanian higher education institutions: the Թ̳College of Engineering with Kaunas University of Technology, and the Թ̳Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business with ISM University of Management and Economics.
In 2024, the Թ̳College of Human Kinetics held an exploratory meeting with the Lithuanian Sports University.
Šlepavičius was accompanied by Agnė Sakalauskaitė, minister counselor and deputy head of mission, Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Korea, and Julia Netta Vildzius Peña, honorary consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Manila. Vistan, on the other hand, was joined by Maria Vanessa Lusung-Oyzon, Թ̳vice chancellor for academic affairs, Carlene Perpetua Pilar-Arceo, director of the Office International Linkages Diliman (OILD), and Noelle Rivera, OILD head of partnerships and communication.
