The Administrative Section of the UP Diliman Natural Sciences Research Institute (NSRI) is now officially ISO 9001:2015-certified.
The certification, valid until April 2029, focuses on its efficient provision of administrative services.
According to an NSRI Facebook post, the ISO 9001:2015 certification is “a result of the collective efforts of the staff and management across three units within the NSRI Administrative Section: the Operations Support Unit, the Property and Procurement Unit, and the Facilities and Resources Unit. Each plays a vital role in ensuring that the section’s operations are efficient, effective, high-quality, and ultimately focused on prioritizing client satisfaction.â€
NSRI Director Elmer S. Estacio accepted the Certificate of Registration from Pamela Maye Gunay, senior manager of business assurance of TÃœV SÃœD PSB Philippines, Inc. on April 8 at the NSRI Conference Room.Â
TÃœV SÃœD PSB Philippines, Inc. is an accredited ISO-certifying body of the Department of Trade and Industry Philippine Accreditation Bureau.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Cynthia P. Saloma, PhD, College of Science dean; Maria Auxilia T. Siringan, PhD, NSRI deputy director for research and extension services and head of the Microbiological Research and Services Laboratory; Pierangeli G. Vital, PhD, head of the Biological Research and Services Laboratory; Maria Corazon A. De Ungria, PhD, head of the DNA Analysis Laboratory; Jonah L. Bondoc, PhD, head of the Research and Analytical Services Laboratory (RASL); Charita S. Kwan, PhD, former RASL head; Jogie Codinera, sales executive at TÃœV SÃœD PSB Philippines, Inc.; and other NSRI officials and staff.
